Of course they sock it to you again by charging you extra for indoor theme tickets that are part of the resorts. Lines for rides were extremely long, longer than I have ever seen and it was only 72 degrees out. And this was not even on a weekend! They need separate desks for information, check in, check in with changes needed, and key pickup that is actually fast! At The Wilderness Resort, they at least give you your keys and send you a text when the room is ready and provide your room number. When I woke up the next day and could not find my wristband that fell off somewhere, I went back down to the desk around 1 and again, an hour long line. At 4 when we came back for the room key, we waited in line another 45 minutes. We checked in but could not get room keys. We came at 12noon knowing we could get wristbands as they advertise but not fully check in. We have been here a few times but they need to fix their check in processes. I'm seriously considering visiting the Ohio resort. This was our second time visiting the Kalahari in a decade and I wouldn't mind returning again if I can find another reasonable deal. I'd recommend brining your own snacks if you're budget conscious, as the snacks and restaurants are a bit overpriced in my humble opinion. It was great seeing my children have such a wonderful time. The staff were friendly and they were willing to clarify a bit of confusion at the check in. My children had a great time at the water park and theme park. I didn't mind the walk at all, but if mobility is an issue or you want to be very near the water park or restaurants be sure to clarify that you will be in the Kalahari proper.

We stayed in the Sands building which is connect to the actual hotel via a skywalk.

The indoor theme park was access wasn't included with the add on fee and cost 30.00) The package was relatively affordable, and was considerably less than purchasing through the resort's website. (We did have to pay an additional 25.00 per night for our fifth family member, but this did include access to water park. There was also included two action cards (game/token) with a 50.00 credit on each. We purchased our trip via groupon and the trip included admittance to indoor and out door water park as well as access to the indoor theme park.

We are just returning from a two night stay at the Kalahari in Wisconsin Dells.
